Animal Allergy & Dermatology Center of Indiana is a rapidly growing, 2 doctor practice located on the northside of Indianapolis. Our veterinarians include one board-certified veterinary dermatologist and one resident in veterinary dermatology. Our practice is limited to the treatment of skin disorders (allergies, ears, immune-mediated disease, and more).
We are looking for an experienced, veterinary assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter, enthusiastic, personable, and a team player. Applicants must be highly motivated and enjoy working in a fast paced environment. A love of client communication and education is a HUGE part of this position. The ideal candidate will enjoy client interaction and education, along with possessing exceptional customer service skills.
Our specialty hospital encompasses 3600 sq. ft. and includes 4 exam rooms, a treatment room, and a procedures room complete with a video otoscope and cryotherapy unit. Education requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience requirements:
- 2 years MINIMUM veterinary clinic experience REQUIRED

- Ability to communicate effectively with both clients and fellow team members
Job Requirements:
- Medical record documentation (we use ezyVet, a cloud-based practice management system)
- Dispense medication
- Assist in all anesthetic procedures (intradermal skin testing, ear flushes, general anesthesia), monitoring, and recovery
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Assist with a multi-line phone system, appointment scheduling, and client check-in/check-out
- Exam room nursing (checking in patients, restraint, and discharging patients)
- Other duties as required by the job (cleaning, stocking exam rooms, etc)
